Just had my 1 week old rear Trail Attack repaired by National Bike Tyres (http://www.nationalbiketyres.co.uk/) in Newton Aycliffe for the pricely sum of £12

They were only fitted (£194 to loose wheels) last week at the same place, and even though the offending screw wasn't in straight the repair was successful (so far):thumb2

My temporary repair (Plug'n'Go kit) managed 600 miles of Scotland's finest twisties chasing Borderraider around and held the pressure reasonably well considering it wasn't a perpendicular "wound" to the tyre.

So hearty recommendation for National Bike Tyres (cheapest repair in the North East), Stop'n'Go plugs & slime portable compressor.

Result:thumb2

Your temp repair held up well..certainly didnt slow you down;)

Good weekend even considering the Uniformed Intervention:augie

:D

"Please Note: Because the wound has not been 'visually inspected from inside the tyre', any form of external plugging is classed as an emergency repair. The vehicle should be driven carefully and the tyre pressure monitored until the tyre can be examined and if necessary, a permanent repair made."

It's all down to your interpretation of "driven carefully" :D
