Hi Guys,

I'm looking for some feedback regarding some tyres fitment to a GSA LC 2016 with Mudsling.
I'm aware of the MachineArt website advise but I was wondering if anyone has any further info on the following tyres fitment:

Metzeler Karoo 3
Avon Trekriders and trailriders

I have received confirmation from MachineArt that Michelin Wild and Metzeler Tourance fit the GSA LC with Mudsling.

Looking forward to hear your feedback

Best Regards

I think Nutty run Avon Trailriders with Mudsling on his GSA, I personally in the past have run Metz Tourance Next and currently Conti Trail Attack 2 with Mudsling and haven't experienced any problems whatsoever.

Search can also be your enemy. I have Avon Tailriders fitted on my 2016 GSA with a mudsling with no issues at all. I have also had Karoo 3, Anakee 3, Anakee Wild, Tourance Next and Trail Attack 2.

And... How did the Karoos behave?

I have just realised that the Avon Trekriders are not available for the LC :-(

Looking to do some forest roads. Gravel, sand and some lose rocks.

So have I - hence searching and then reading the thread can be really helpful sometimes. Simples!

The Karoos were OK. I now use Anakee Wilds for off road adventures and they are better both on and off road in my opinion.

Forgot to mention TKC70's. I've had those fitted fine also but would not recommend them off road. Fine on it.

And the infamous wobble?

Cheers for that! Looks like it will be between the karoos,TKC70's.

If it were me choosing now with the benefit of experience and I knew I would be going off road regularly then I would choose Karoo 3 and ride round their limitations on the road and put up with the noise they make.

The only thing that keep me thinking is that I'll have a drive from UK to South Portugal and I'm wondering whether they will survive so many road miles before our offroad trips and the return. Keep thinking if there's a compromise.
Our American friends talk a lot of "Shinco tyres" any experiences?

I haven't had Shinco's so could not offer any opinion on them I afraid. Hearing what you say about your intended use I would probably now choose the TKC70 for the trip. Just avoid mud off road!
