Tyres GS WC

I did many fast miles without any concern whatsoever with the Annakee 3s, but much above the legal limit and the TKC70s don't feel at all planted on the road. Granted, they're not a high speed tyre, but when they don't fill you with confidence at motorway speeds you've got to wonder...!

2 different sets of tyres on my Stelvio both felt rock solid at speed.

6 different sets of tyres on my 2011 twin cam gs all felt rock solid at speed.

2 different sets of tyres on my 2013 gs wc ..felt ok,ish but always skipped and jumped at speed especially on white line or cats eye's. felt very light on the front end at speed.

After getting a price for two Trail Attacks, including fitting, I'm going to stick with the Anakee 3.

There's a rebate offer from Michelin at the moment, so at £115 fitted at a BMW dealer, it's a no brainer.

As the front tyre has loads of tread left, I'll wait until they both need doing at the same time, then will switch to the TA's.

I was in exactly the same situation Nutty but my usual tyre Co Protyre couldnt get me a rear Annakee, it would have been £113, BMW wanted £145 so got the TA's for £240 fitted to loose wheels, no brainer for me and much happier on the Conti's

I recently went from Anakee 3's to PR4's and it feels like I've just got a new improved version of my previous bike! :tarka

+1 What a huge difference just took off anakees and put on PR4, so much smoother and better feel by far. And the anakees only had 1800 miles on so not going from worn out squared off to new as that always feels better!

ANAKEE

Just done 650 miles on my new gs with ANAKEE 3 on , must admit I was not pleased when I picked it up ,as I have always run conti trial attack tyres ( brilliant ) but was surprised.
One up the bike felt good , only when pushing it on tight corners I felt it reluctant to turn , but not too bad. But .... Two up what a great set of tyres ...... Will be using them on my euro trip this year .have ordered a set of contis to change at the first service as to compare again as I'm intrigued with the ANAKEE 3

Very tempted by TKC70's, I am going to the Alps next month and there is one of the days (well a few hours of it) on a fire road and I'm worried my PR4's will be useless in this situation.

TKC70 has only recently come to market. ..

Where did u get TKC70 in 2011?

I did 10k on TA2's on my GSA LC (I do a lot of motorway miles) and they are great in the dry, not bad in the wet, and quiet. I have now changed to PR4's, which are much better in the wet than the TA2's, but very noisy.

My Anakee 3's squared off at 3380!! going on a French trip in two weeks, read reviews etc and have just put a set of Dunlop TrailSmarts - only done 50 miles on them so far, but already feel much, much better than the Anakee's... will update at the weekend as should of done about 350 miles of motorway, twisties and town riding by then.

+1, although I find the PR4's slightly slower steering too. They wer £225 fitted at Bike Tyres Leeds

My TA2's only last 4800 miles, but that's not too bad for me as nearly all my mileage is playing in the Dales and Lakes on a weekend
