Hi all, I know tyres are personnel but any body tried Pirelli Scorpion 11. Cheers all.
Was standard fitment on the KTM 1290 SAS's - good tyre in all conditions although front tends to wear out quicker than the back. Have a set in the garage ready to spoon onto my latest KTM when it wears out the Mitas tyres it came with.

Rocked...it appears you prefer the feel from CTA3 over the PST2... just, how do these two tyres compare regarding mileage and noise from the front please

Thanks for the quick reply, CTA3 will be my next tyres then, Stick... (our resident tyre expert) and many other far better riders than me seem to be thoroughly impressed, so if it's good enough for them it's more than good enough for an old duffer like me, thanks once again.

The TA3 will be a great choice as the set are perfectly suited to the Gs . I have just bought the V4s so it came fitted with scorpions and to be fair they are a great set ( (so far ) but only done 300 miles so far , they do seem to have the same characteristics as the CTA 3 , warm up well , you can still ride in the wet without fear , but bike not run in yet so need to see . Only thing I have noticed is the front seems a more rounded profile but so far feels good . Once run in I will be able to discover the pros and cons .
This may be the first set of oem tyres that will be used not removed

Can you donate 1250 to me.![]()

Like stick said there is really not much difference between the PST2 and CTA3...Both very good tires with the Conti giving more life , especially the front !
Stick why did you defect to the VW-V4 from Bologna ? I mean 30 hp more is good but not as good to give up on T-L and shaft...IMHO !
Like to hear what you have to say about both bikes in comparison even if I would never buy anything with chain and fork again...
Good luck with your new (b)ride !
