Mark in Platinum motorcycles. I got a set on Road Pilots fitted from him last week. Great service and price. But he is getting married this week so not around for seven days. Hope this helps.

otherwise go online get them cheap and bring wheels and tyres to shop and get them fitted

always works out lot cheaper for me

I mostly get mine from Crossons Newry and fit my self. Platinum gets my vote too but he gets them in to order and I usually notice steel on tyre and then it's a panic. JJH

Scotty,
I'll give him a call. Thank you. :thumb2

John,
it's always worked out more for me! :blast :D
Though, i just phoned Crossans oop north and got a price of £150 (approx €189) for two, inc post.
By the time i have them fitted locally .... i suspect that yet again i'd be as well off just getting supply+fit here. :nenau

I'll keep looking and report back - the info might be helpful for more than just me. :thumb

Crossans will supply and fit them as well.
About a hour from Dublin.
I think that the last pair of Trail Attacks that I got from them cost about the same as the price of the rear only in Limerick.

Scotty,
I'll give him a call. Thank you. :thumb2

Ya know ...
this is looking very tempting - you just cant ignore that price.
Anyone any experience with this tyre ... on a heavy weight cruiser? :nenau

Go elsewhere at your peril...
i've said pretty much the same thing for years. :thumb2

erm...
I thought 'aperil' was something you wore?

Mark,
i suspect i'll be in touch - just waiting to hear back prices from local firms here.
When you over here again - oh, and how the hell will you carry 2 tyres on a Bike?!
Thanks a Lot by the way! :beerjug:

Not true

No mention of cotters??
... you mentioned them - just now. :P
~~
:duck:

phoned Cotters earlier - €257 for a pair of BT45s.
No bargain / but probably the best Dublin price. :nenau

Maxxis are looking better and better.

had two pairs of maxxis touring on a 900 hornet - not far off the weight of yours

10k from a pair great in the dry and excellent in the wet (which here is most of the time :D )

looking at bt45 on ebay (is it cos theyre 18s) 95 rear 85 front

Maxxis are looking better and better.

Better to have a couple of tyres with 6 or more mm of tread than a bare arsed mofo slipping and sliding all over the road??

Check out Maxxis Competition tyres they are the top of the tree there

If it comes with Chen Shin on it thats part of the Maxxis group and I'd still rather have a new pair of them as a pair of baldy tyres

Decster,
Ta for the link - i'm doing the sums now. :)

Mr Hairnet, Sir
(Ogs on the scrounge :augie)

Sent you a text. :D
