Tyres ~ where in Dublin?

Tyres are your only contact with the road....they're prob the most important aspect of your bike re handling, braking etc.

Dont skimp.

Thank you for the thoughts Banzai, :beerjug:
Though i am somewhat aware. ;) :D

What did you decide?
John Birchill,
Stourbridge Motorcycle Centre

is sending over two Maxxis tyres.
Grand total inc post is £102 .
Did the biz over the phone. Got called back with details (twice).
Prompt, knows his business and helpful.

This equates to the approximate cost of one 'upmarket' (e.g. Bridgestone BT45) tyre here.

Even if the tyre life is only 50% of the alternative - i'm happy. (me being happy ---> :D )
I would recommend this company. :thumb

Thanks for all the help guys - especially Mr Hairnet. :bow :thumby:

Update.
Got the cheap Maxxis.
Toured Brittany. Ideal weather - all dry. The rear 'steps out' a bit, like a 70's Honda 4 if pushed hard through a corner ... and the Bikes heavily loaded. :augie
No brown underwear moments though - quite predictable. After the first time. (thank the gods Mrs Og was used to this from previous experience with me and Hondas! :kissy2 )

Since then it's been mostly commuting, sadly not much in the way of decent spins. :(
Now then,
in the wet - they're poxy. white lines, overbanding, drains, manhole covers - any excuse - they skip and slither.
Getting the pressure right seems to be crucial.
What that pressure is - i have no idea :blast . I'm still fiddling about with that.
Sometimes they're good / sometimes sheite. In the wet. :nenau

Still - i'm getting i reckon 2/3rds of the performance for 1/2 the price of a pair of BT45s.
Mustn't grumble. :D

og its not a gixxer :D

white lines and manhole covers - well anything would do that

isnt a guzzi already overloaded without passengers.........

SSHHhhhh!!! ~ She thinks She's a lithe, nimble, sporty model and responds well to that. :augie

Yeahbut - it's all a matter of the amount of movement. :D
