This will be an interesting post I have the Metzler next I will fit another rear when that is gone and then swap the pair, so look forwards to see reports of the Anakee 3 which are also fitted as standard.

But what to swap too?

PS the handling is brilliant so I don't want to spoil that either. :thumb2

I have recently fitted the Michelin PR3's 'Trails' to my Explorer and they seem to be very good especially in the wet. I not sure if the sizes are the same for the LC.

Don't do a 120/60 19" front wheel size............

Now that's a GS Tyre :D

The clue was in the 'karoo 3' on the side wall ... :D

thats right

Telbenj !!!!!!!

Why change from the Next, :blast

As you say the handling is brilliant , and I agree it is, :D

That's why I will fit another (next) rear when its worn, But as the Anakee is also original spec tyre I would change to those if the mileage is better.

I agree with you the handling as it is faultless so I want at least the same level of grip / performance, this bike is great for confidence in corners Im hitting bends on certain roads that previously I've thought to have bad grip, without a thought of loosing grip
absolutely brilliant bike I love it and I expect the tyres pay some part in that too.

I do like the look of the Metzler Karroo but I expect you loose a lot of on road ability.

Cheers Terry :beerjug:

Name

A lot I expect, but did he take into account, the fact that people might be looking at pictures on a small screen on an IPhone , and their ageing eyesight Lol!!!!!! :rob

Have you any idea how much the marketing team paid the advertising agency to brief the photographer about making sure the name was in focus. :augie

Conti Trail Attack

Great tyre , in the dry , a little twitchy in the damp / wet .
Milage so far ... 1650 and reckon I got another 900 to 1100 left , front also wearing on the sides and may do another rear but not sure
Ride mainly only B road and a road 70 / 30 split .
No motorway miles.

Will be trying the Next , next ..as off to Italy .:thumb

The Tourance Next is brilliant in the wet and dry, I couldn't wish for a better tyre. It is squaring off a bit after 3500 miles and I can now just feel the difference, will have to change the rear when it gets to about 5,000 in preparation for my Summer trip to France.

Changed mine today at 4500 miles worn beond the wear bar,,was looking dodgy from 3500 miles, tried to replace it then in Italy but the dealer had no stock, rode home to Scotland checking it every day.
