I know we have a very good report on tyres in the frequently asked questions or whatever it is but just wondered which of these you guys would use

Still confused by another tyre site somebody please say if the ones recommended for the GS are the best ones or false economy .

Obviously dont want to pay over the odds but they are recommending the cheaper ones for the GS any advice please as I previously said I do a lot of two up touring & like to play with my mates on the sports bikes just wonder why they recommend the cheaper ones

The Karoo is a more off road oriented tyre. For your stated use, you'd be much better off with the Tourances. They'll last longer as well. However, I'd be tempted to try the new Bridgestone Battlewings.

Thanks for that glad somebody answered looks like the more expensive ones then .Well always had the O20 on the vfer but was hoping to get more than 3.500 on the gs so think I ought to give the tourance a try & leave the Bridgestones for a while they've had enough of my cash

Save a little cash and try Pirelli MT90 Scorpions. Every bit as good as the Tourance, but usually a bit cheaper.

Got a front Tourance fitted yesterday, £81, and was quoted £100+ for a Scorpion. Have a Scorpion on the rear, and quite impressed with it, but my excuse is that I'm giving Tourances a trial run.
