U2 at Glastonbury

Tax - a good idea if you are a warring King with a lot of knights and common soldiers to keep in wars but now? Just send me an itemised bill :rob

.....and played and sounded like a band that had never met each other before! Truely awful set.

so is the event bigger than the band? cos I thought it was alright. all the flags are doing head in...

Must be watching a different show to me then because I think they are great (as does the crowd) - or are you just a "hater"?

Nope, I love U2 and have done since about '85 but come on everyone they were awful and can play a lot better than that.

Honestly don't know how you can say that but you are entitled to your own opinion. But personally I thought they were absolutely sensational and it may as well have been their own gig.
Did not quite make it back to ' THE HYPE' days but went back early enough with I will follow and Out of Control.
Totally loved every minute

You can't be serious . They were fantastic tonight . Played all the right songs ." I will follow " was brill

Bono seemed a little "refreshed" when he was chatting to the BBC post-performance. The rest of the band seemed amused as he was making a tit of himself.

Started well, I thought, but then got a bit boring. Seemed to be the general view of those I watched with. Some fans, some not.

I think they have a few great songs, and a lot of not so great songs, so do not catagorise myself as a fan.

Their video screens were pretty impressive.

It was a tad moist.

Radiohead were better, but there I am a fan ;)

Saw them in the early 80's afore they were famous. Loved their music for ages, even though I thought they'd lost their way on some of the albums.

However the show was great, far exceeded my expectations- making me wish I'd been there (a rarity for a me in stadium of festival gigs).

Just a shame that the whole thing wasn't shown on a single channel

Its on BBC4 @10.05. I wonder will there tax affairs in the media live up to all 'THE HYPE':thumb

Looks like all attempts to expose them as hypocrites were quashed by 'security' :toungincheek

The post session 'interview' wasn't exactly probing

it wasn't carried out by that useless airhead Lauren Laverne was it? If an original thought ever entered her head it would die of loneliness:blast
