I am testing the water here - I am contemplating booking Ashdown Farm MX track near Reading for a day for members of this parish. This is a great 1.5 mile track with huge climbs, tabletop jumps and banked corners. Fantastic fun - except - you need to be on the track on a quiet day! I have recently ridden this track with the TRF on a private booking day and it is substantially better when you don't need to worry about 14 year olds on buzzing MX bikes right up your Harris.
This track is normally open every sunday to MX's which can get very busy (especially if dry) which isn't condusive for some of us on heavier 'gs' type bikes.
If you do a search on this forum you can find more info about the course - ideally, I need to find about 30 riders to pay £20 each to cover costs to have a completely closed course. There will obviously be no insurance cover from me or the forum, it will be solely a 'private invite only play day'
It is more suited for enduro bikes, Trail bikes and the like although I have seen 950 KTM Rallye bikes on the course too. Knobblies would be essential if wet.
If you are interested can you let me know, if I know I wont be out of pocket I will enquire how many free dates there are - looking at one saturday in Aug/Sept time.
Cheers
