I'm planning an Eastern Europe tour for this year, I will be in France for a stag do in August ( until the 15th) then I'm heading East. No real plans but Bulgaria/Romania/Ukraine (list not exhaustive!) are all in play. If your trip starts later than planned I'd be keen to hook up at some stage. If anyone else is planning on being in that part of the world late Aug/Sep/Oct time let me know.

full of fellow tossers this year as me and a mate are also planning a trip there in (summer/uk rain season). He has been to the ukraine a couple of times but not on a bike. would be cool to ride over in force...
or not depending on peoples plans and routes taken also

just to clarify my position i will be going june / july flexible within these two months ,,not to fussed about route there or back but would like to take in crimea and have some r&r down about the black sea ,,cheap hotels and mibys a bit of wild camping ,,, if this falls in with anyone else's plans let me know your ideas and thoughts on routes etc ....gordon

Still fancy this, but have a good mates wedding on 2nd July so for me will have to be after this. What you are proposing is all good for me and I do fancy doing Romania and the Adriatic countries while I'm down there. Keeping an eye on the thread.

Advice and Company.
Looking for advice for a trip around the black sea, was planning on a quick trip through western europe,( done this area so often, and quite boring) then slowing down in the Ukraine on the black sea coast, am hoping there will be cheap accomodation, as do not fancy camping, but have heard the guest hoses, cheap motels/hotels are few and far between in the ukraine ?.
I know there is no access through georgia, so whats the advice, on through russia, or I understand there is a crossing from the crimea to russia, then onto sochi and the ferry to trabzon/turkey, slowish ride along the coast there,maybe some detours etc.
Have friends who are riding directly to Istanbull will meet up with them, then and ride back along the northern black sea coast, and back to the uk.
Another rider would be welcome, will post this on the travellers seeking travellers.
I only have permission from my wife for 1 month, will be leaving Early Aug, meeting with the other guys about the 21st Aug, but all a little flexible.
Any advice will be welcome, Martin

Will be heading east mid July. Me an a mate are off towards Odessa, through, France, Germany, Austria, Hungary,Romania, possibly Moldova, Ukraine,then Bulgaria,Turkey, then home. Route will vary depending mood, landmarks and
. Would be good to meet with riders along the way but not doin big groups. Looking to be away around a month but again times no big issue, also camping wherever possible to keep the costs down, oh and going to go Dover to Calais. Any travel, route advice appreciated
