unable to post

Can anyone tell me why i cant put a post or new thread when i use the newlapptop with windows 8 and my note pad BUT i can post using my kindle fire

What browser are you using? If Internet Explorer are you using the desktop version or the 'Metro' version? I have the same issue on my Windows 8 tablet using IE Metro (Start screen). If I use IE from the desktop it works OK. The Metro version of IE lacks some of the add-ins required for some sites to work properly.

That has nothing to do with windows.. Your message is too short.. type at least 5 characters or put one of these in..

As I mentioned in post 3 above, Windows 8 has two versions of Internet Explorer. The one that you open from the Start screen (or Metro) does not allow you to post to this site because of missing add-ins however if you open Internet Explorer from the Desktop you will be able to post on this site without getting the error concerning the post being too short.
