Uncomfortable autcom headset

I had the same problem and in addition to deepening the the recesses in the helmet (I used a heated ring spanner which mad a nice flat bottomed recess)I removed the speakers from the plastic cases and just hot glued the bare speakers into the recesses.

.

How much thickness did you save removing the plastic cases from speakers. I have the Ultimate ear plugs with speakers and also speakers in helmet. This is useful set up for short trips when you don't want to fiddle with ear plugs. But I find the helmet speakers are pressing onto my ear plugs making them very uncomfortable:mad:

Shoei attack

I got a 2 pence coin , drew round it on the polystrenene inside my lid, where my ears were to go, and then using a new stanley blade, which was bent with a blowlamp 90 degrees, scraped out all the polystrene in order to sink the speakers in the lid, i took off the outer shells of the autocom speakers, sorted it for me.
i just couldnt do it any other way.
i wish these helmet maunfacturers would put decent size dents in the polystyrene( i struggle speeling this) for intercom speakers to sit.
ps,anybody recommend a helmet whats quiet and is easy to fit a autocom headset into?regards PAul
Trying to stop spending money on shiny bits but failing...........
