Uneven front brake pad wear and calliper compatibility

1150 GSA from 2004 - My front brake pads are wearing unevenly. One pad almost done, and the other 3 look not far off new. Not normal. Sticky / seized / corroded pistons I think.
The bike has Tokico calipers from new. Pretty bad design of retaining pins. And the little screws holding the steel plates on are alll broken halfway down.

So rather than fiddling with a rebuild on 21 year old sticky piston callipers (x3 or more), can I switch to the Brembo callipers? Straight switch?

Also - the bike was with ABS until it broke halfway down a mountain so now no ABS as its bypassed. I think ABS will not affect the calliper type (although come websites spec callipers for ABS / non-ABS bikes oddly.)
So I can clean up the pipework at the same time with the Y splitter.

Any views?

Except that Ive just seen the cost of new ones - €600 each plus pads. Maybe I'll rebuild the old ones.

Just get a pair of cleaned up Brembos from Motorworks.

You "may" find that the swept area is slightly different than the Tokicos and you'll need to swap the discs too (but you "can" use the discs meant for Tokicos for a while - if the pads get too lipped then they "might" bind, but you'll be ok for a bit). Motorworks are very aware of the swap and their systems even identify that you've done it (well - they do for me once I've id-d myself to them. )

I've done this on my Rocksters ... err.... at least twice, maybe 3 times now. The Brembos are far superior to the Tokicos. I also use 2 lines with no splitters: just a double banjo at the m/c. Good enough for two-finger stoppies.
