Unit Garage Paris Dakar kit

I was just going to post the same pic. Looks ok doesn’t it?
I can feel your resolve weakening as I type...

That's rather splendid. Was never going to be long before somebody developed a big tank/PD kit. What's the betting that the BMW one arrives next year?
Looks great bar those daft front discs. I'd keep the original tubeless wheels but I think those titanium downpipes look so much better than the OEM (chrome?) ones and should turn a nice shade of blue. Like the high level exhaust too.
In fact, at a (very) quick glance you could almost - almost! - mistake it for the original...

Hi John love the look of your bike . I test rode one today and loved it . There is no luggage yet but neither is there any for my 1300 GSA ! I am considering getting one , Any drawbacks you can think of ? I am looking at px my 1300 so it will be used as that is . Do you think it will be a realist bike to tour Europe on ? Cheers
Anything can be toured on.
Bods trundle allong for thousands of miles on an honey Vespas. Honda C90 etc. It is just our mindset that does get in the way of having an adventure on anything going.

My wife rode her RnineT Pure all the way to Tuscany and back. No whistle or bangs, a basic motorcycle with not exactly the best suspension set going. Yes she was a tad broken after the trip, but she’d done it and now she can talk about her adventure.

I agree with you on those discs, they do make feel rather unwell just looking at them.

Single seat and a small rack would be my choice if it was an option.

Slightly different view. Those downpipes are seriously spendy in titanium (£1500!). Loses the cat and sheds 4kg. The stainless ones (-2kg) are a slightly more reasonable £570 or so. The Akra pipe is not currently listed. May not be as aesthetically pleasing but much better coverage from that rear mudguard. Unit Garage Big Tank.jpgview

Like it, but not sure on those front brake discs…..
But how much will it add to the basic price?
