Mine has nearly 60K on the clock and would have carried on fine if I'd not removed the fuel strip. But my fuel pump is running below par (so would have played up eventually) but it's not now getting boosted by the FPC so the tank is not getting fully emptied. New pumps and filter units cost Megabux from BuMW, but are about £30 on eBay. You could fit about 10 cheap ones for the cost on one from BMW.
