I have recently brought out a Sena 20S from storage for an upcoming trip. I thought that I should update the firmware, given it is probably over 7 years old.

Went to the Sena website and followed their instructions to update, but after I plug the Sena into my MacBook, it does not find the Sena

Any advise? I am guessing the Sena is an Android device and this is why my MacBook does does not ‘see’ it?

I’ve been trying to update my Sena 20s for years . It never works . I’ve never tried using the WiFi adapter . Maybe that what they want us to buy 😳😳😂

The Sena units are very fussy about the cable that is used, any will charge them but the genuine Sena one normally works for data transfer.

I’ve used a genuine Sena cable and that didn’t work either 😰

Make sure you use a data & charge capable USB lead

Other than that Sena area bout one of the only OEM's who offer the ability to upload and go back versions of SW if required

I’m sure it was the correct cable as it was specifically from Sena . It would only identify the intercom if I pulled the cable out of the charging socket but then it wouldn’t up,pad the firmware .

There's a software update for the Sena device manager and it seems to work for updating devices firmware .

Enjoy
