Urgent help needed…..V85TT….. OBd2 scanner and adapter cable needed.

Unfortunately the adapter is the important part, which I no longer have as I gave it to the guy I sold my Mandello to last year. I do have a reader but it's of no use to you without the adapter. OBD readers are not necessarily expensive, that and the adapter are easily sourced so you may need to do that yourself but obviously will probably take a few days.

Good morning and thank you ever so much for getting back to me so promptly. I have researched the adapter and can obtain one via Amazon, they are cheap at £10-12 but does that matter? I assume you had used your OBD reader on your Mandello and if so, could you let me know what make/model yours is so at least I’ve some certainty that it’ll read codes on my V85 please before I commit to buying one, I note that a basic reader is circa £25-30 but one programmed specifically for Moto Guzzi is circa £300, hence my dilemma and rationale for reaching out to you.

Once again, my apologies for being a little cheeky in approaching you on this subject - feeling frustratingly helpless when it comes to electronics!

I use a Vdiagtool VD10 with the adaptor to check/read codes on the E5+ V85, cheap and does the job - from Amazon.

My tool was about 25 quid, but have used it quite a bit on cars no problem. Make was Topdon or something like that. 10-12 sounds ok for an adapter, the tool is how much you want to spend really, doesn't have to be much.
