Well I've just stripped and cleaned out my starter motor as per MikeP's thread, however after refitting it was a no go. The first time I tried there was a thunk from down there then nothing on 2nd attempt.
Where have I messed up, what can I do to fix it? I'll be in a bit of a pickle if I don't have her running by sundown

was advised to stick the bike in 5th or 6th and rotate the rear wheel in order to turn that big cog. Fitted the motor back in place and hit the switch only to have a momentary tourettes attack as was misfiring. Slotted the throttle cable back in its slot & she fired up instantly. Music to my ears
