urgent help required

Hi everyone
I am looking for some urgent advice, I am currently on holiday, based in Sedburgh on the edge of the Yorkshire dales.Had a great ride out today up into the Scottish borders and through Kielder forest but unfortunately 140 miles into the ride discovered a nail in my rear Tourance. I used a repair kit to seal the tyre which managed to get me the 80 or so miles back to the holiday cottage but on rechecking it appears the tyre is still leaking. The tyre was already on its last legs and I was going to replace it shortly after the holiday anyway but now obviously need to replace it immediately as I have to tavel 240 mile ride home on saturday morning.

My question is does anyone know of somewhere in the Kendal/Sedburgh area where I might be able to get hold of a Tourance?

any suggestions would be most welcome

Redo the repair carefully now at your lesiure and leave it till the tyre is shagged.

there are loads of bike shops in Carlisle get at the yellow pages .ATS also do a sos service they come to you all the best and Good luck.Failing that follow PIKEY Daves advice if you dont cane it it should get you home

Only 240 miles! Steptoe brought his punctured, much repaired tourance from morrocco, back home and then attempted to do Lands End to JOG with it. Just keep plugging it anf pumping it up!

Sedbergh great place to have as a base...........try the chippy there its won awards...and the butcher just by the church on the bend makes the best meat pies.................

Did you get sorted ?? I'm in Heysham,
the place I use for tyres in Morecambe usually gets tyres no problem.
Though I have heard that Tourances are in short supply because of the new one coming out.

If you need any help, just post here and I'll do my best. I'm only half an hour away

thanks again but here's an update

thanks again to everyone who offered help and suggestions but replugged the leak this morning and everything was ok until mid afternoon today about an hour into a run when the bike just died, first time it restarted ok , happened a couple more times and then died completely (it fealt as if it had just run out of fuel ). Had to call the AA who eventually turned up with a suitable pick up truck and had it transported back home, had to cut holiday short by a couple of days so I guess tomorrow I will be on the phone to Wollastons In Northampton to arrange for it to be looked at.
