Urgently need replacement 55w HID ballast

Hi

Does anyone have any ideas where I can get a replacement 55w HID ballast quickly.

I have slimline ones on the fogs on my GSA and one has just died and I'm off on a week long bike trip on Thursday.

I'm in Farnham, Surrey.

I've emailed Les because one of my Ballasts has gone tits up.

He replied that if I paypal him the money, he will get one in the post the SAME DAY. Now that's quick.

Why the panic? Just chuck a normal bulb back in! Maybe also swap ballasts around if you have more than two fitted. Ffs. Only in the 1200 section could a trip be at stake due to a HID Ballast failure!!

I just reread the original post and I see it's a fog light that has failed. OMG. The end is nigh. Surprised you didn't call for a recovery truck and check your travel insurance holiday cancellation policy!

I never said anything about the trip being in jeopardy. I merely enquired whether it was something that I can fix before the trip.

I have since resolved the issue by removing the HID from the full beam and using the ballast from that. Full beam is back to std H7 bulb now. Something I've been meaning to do for a while as it was too slow on full beam.
