h is any one else trying to get a visa for the usa? i need it for trip for four months .. the problem is they have made it all electronic.. online application, and the truth is the dam thing dont work its called a DS-160 . the system just keeps crashing????? its driving me mad has anyone have any advice?

ps my appointment is on friday. without this form completed i cant attend, i tried ringing the embassy (London) £1.60 a minute after 8 minute they say they are toooo busy ring back another time.........?????????

I'm trying for two days and it does not work. Called the embassy, they told me they know about the problem and they also told me "keep trying every 5 minutes"... Then I called VISA services in Washington D.C. and they didn't have a clue what's going on. My interview is on Thursday so I guess I will reschedule it if I wont succeed with the DS :-) :eek

Shit i know the feeling. will you lose the $100 fee thing? i cant believe its so bad i was trying to work out when others may be in bed. i.e the network wont be overloaded.???? We are trying to get two done for Friday and its now looking impossible. it easier to get a russian visa. modern technology sucks..

yah, I was thinking the same - it's late and the traffic to the site should be not so heavy... guess what... same shit as the whole day today and yesterday. I believe rescheduling the interview is at no extra charge but since I dont live in London I already made plans with friends so I have to go anyway (whether or not I'll go to the embassy)

just a bit confused with the VISA thing, why can't you do the ESTA form?

I thought Brit Citizens could complete ESTA and that took away the need for a VISA....or am I on the wrong track....

If you want to go for more than three months then you need to apply for a B2 Visa or equav. basicly they have made all the apllications for visa under one form and every one and their dog is probably trying to complete them. totaly shit form that makes little sence, even if you could complete it it with it timing out..

Probably under constant t'interweb attack from some mad mullas wiv guns

i have been on it now for two days straight and the three days prior every couple of hours.. i have got one 1/4 completed.. this is not looking good. US embassy help line denies it is a big problem said we will just change you interview date, but some of us cant just get away that easy, especially when i am leaving my company for four month in some one else's hands and i have to get it all ready to hand over... they are the real tossers. US embassy aaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaarrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrr rant rant rant... :(
