USB Device Malfunctioned?

I dowloaded all my data just before setting off for a 17 day trip across Europe with the boss on the back.

GPS behaved very well and I tried to keep up.

On returning home I wanted to upload some routes and waypoints we had visited.

My PC greeted any attempt at connecting the 2610 with
USB device has malfunctioned, Windows does not recognise device and No drivers loaded for this device.

Anyone able to help?

Maybe you have the 'broken USB connector' problem that one or two others have had'. If the surface mount USB connector has broken of the little circuit board I may be able to re-attach it for you.
