USB STICK?

My daughter wants one of these. I will soon be purchasing a DELL computer but by the way there own usb stick is described i can only use it with another DELL?

My daughter will have a PACKARD BELL , so i need one to fit both.

Any ideas, Do they fit any usb connection as i am worried that nothing apart from there own will work with a DELL .

Can i get one that will fit both?

I bought a cheap 'jetflash' 256 USB stick from - i think- Novatech, before i left.

Works in every computer i've seen since , including DELL, Toshiba and at least 4 others.

I'm pretty sure the general USB std is that everything is inter-compatible.

Check out any non-generic one and it should work anywhere.

Don't listen to - or pay for - Dell marketing shite

Which as you say, does specifically mention some Dell models......though as the guys just said, any USB stick should in theory work with any USB2 port.......I guess DEll are just trying to sell more of their own bits of kit

I'd be inclined to buy the PC without the stick and try one of the numerous (And cheaper) generic USB sticks to try.

Yes she does. I think i will take fannies advice .The dell computers sound good as a package but your add ons dont seem to be.

I will pop down to PC world or somethin and get one

Why not get one that doubles up as a MP3 player? As I did for my wife and kids. Managed to find one that had a radio as well for myself.

Plenty around at good prices. Daughter's came from Hong Kong via e-bay. Works a treat.
