I've just had a quote for chopping in my 05 GSA ,4.5k miles,(ABS/tin luggage/heated grips/engine bars/spots/etc,etc),against a 1200 Adventure...they offered me £6.5k,(with all the trinkets),AND they want the bike straight away,while I wait till at least August for the new one....

That would be about right, thats what I was offered and really was forced to accept, was told 14k mileage was very high for a 2 year old bike WTF, but thats what it said in Glasses guide. Of-course it went on the showroom floor for £7,600 the following week Then I got really and now my mates follow me round with a , but it was dropping at £150 a month in residual, and by the time March would arrive I would be having to raise an extra £750 smackers anyway, maybe more if the dealer had plenty of ADV comin in . I really got fed up with tyre kickers and time wasters, so I give in, sickening I know, but Short & Curly's is the term that springs to mind

Paid in December from Balderstons £7500 think it was for a December 2003 black full bm luggage abs servo heated grips immaculate really with a baglux 9000 miles they did the 12000 mile fluid change before i had it to.
Too much I know but what the hell years warrenty

Oops! forgot to mention mine was a Sept 03, I paid £9,700, new, I think you missed the boat, in that invisible trade-in deadline, as they are obviously, very confident, about having plenty to choose from. You would be better to keep it now for at least a year, and let the market settle again...

Take at least a grand of the 03 prices displayed here. The accessories don't mean a jot, money wise on trade in from your point of view, but from theirs they can sell a blinged up one, on quicker. Take the extras off and sell them on this site, they will be gone in a couple of days, and you will get a fair bit of cash back for them.
