Used Leatt STX Neck Brace - Size XXL

I used this in training off-road and Blood Bike Service commuting between Hospitals, where breaking your neck is a possibility (you'd think Hospital Sites would be less dangerous for motorcyclists, but no...), and you don't mind the brace looking less attractive when wearing high viz, than the black carbon version. :D

I've grown quite attached to my neck... and it's one of the most vulnerable areas if broken as you tend to lose a lot.

So... if that bothers you...

£100 delivered to UK address. At a price you can afford to at least try it.

Testimonial... from a pro racer

Now... that's from a guy who knows what he's doing... if you're in Off-Road Training and don't know what you're doing (obviously)...

Better to be safer, than not.

This particular brace has very wide brace legs at the back... which were originally designed to spread each side a racing 'hump' in a suit.

But I found them really useful to not cover up the 'BLOOD' reflector badge on my back when Dressed in high viz.

Great for wearing in the Winter cold dark riding urban streets... if you don't want the inconvenience of unplugging an air vest every time you get on or off the bike. Like regular trips while riding as a courier, Blood Biker, Delivery biker...

With this neck brace, you just always leave it on... sorted.

Wish I was wearing one of these on my travels, it may have prevented my neck injury. I'd still love to give one of these ago, but I fear any vehicle collision (even in the car) now would leave me paralysed neck down. It was scary enough being paralysed chest down for 48 hours. If you're off roading on your tod in the middle of nowhere, I'd recommend wearing one. If I'd have been wearing one I'm pretty sure I'd still be on my travels.

My experience was enlightening...

"Why are you wearing it... have you damaged your neck?"

No... I'm wearing it, not to damage my neck...

"Ohhh... new at riding are you..."

No... I've been riding for decades, but I'm doing a lot of 'high risk riding'... like off-road training and urban short journeys all day on Urgent NHS Blood Deliveries.

Then...

On all my BMW Off-Road Training Level 1 and Level 2... everybody fell off their bikes. Same on Adventure Bike Training School with Molly...

Everybody who was trying hard to learn and get very good, fell off at some point...

Pushing yourself, especially in off-road training experience or urban high intensity riding like Blood Bikes commutes between city Hospitals during Winter...

Get one.

Good condition neck brace to try for Offroading, touring, training, winter...
