Anyone running a full BOS system without the CAT on their 12GS care to give me their views on it?
Did it need set up on a dyno or anything like that?

Thanks :)

Thanks Andre - I tried a few searches but had only come up with the second of your links - the first link you posted is the sort of feedback I was wanting and my wallet isn't wanting!

:blast

A got a full BOS system on my 1200GS and I have to say it sounds fantastic - once I'd got used to the fact that I hadn't got a hole anywhere.

It sounds great and pops well when you roll off the throttle.

Definately recommended :thumb2

I agree I love mine, it does not need setting up take the old one off and put the BOS one on. :thumb2

Yes, I believe there is a noticeable improvement. My new GSA has a full BOS system, whereas the demo bike which I tested had standard header pipes, cat etc. with an acropovic end can. The difference between the two bikes is very apparent, even bearing in mind that mine is brand new and the demo had done 3.5k miles. The difference manifests itself in greater torque, and noticeably more instant and smooth power delivery throughout the rev range. I'm guessing that the gains will be even greater as the engine gets run-in!
I'm well pleased.....for me, the system was a worthwhile investment.

I'd agree with TonyIOW completely. I had a demo bike with the standard can initially and then bought an '05 GS1200 with the full BOS on it.

The bike is definately livelier than the demo (the demo had a few hundred miles on it whereas mine has 8k) and I originally thought that the engine had been tuned to the exhaust but I'm told that this isn't the case.

Go for it!!

are the SW motech engine bars compatible with the full BOS system?

Yes they are, there is no problems fitting the BOS system, But if I remember rightly you will have to remove some of the engine bars to enable you to get the original BMW front pipes off the bike but this only takes 5 mins or so.

Love it. Well worth the money. The sound when you crack open the throttle and the popping when you roll off really puts a grin on your face. There IS a noticeable power difference but not as much as I'd hoped! :D

Hi roger, bos only list from 04 onwards on there site,i called at module today and he said the one he would be selling me was 04 on,the only one listed:confused:

I'm going from memory on this one Thomas and previous posts which mentioned this on here and also on Adv Rider.

I'ts down to the change made to the side stand on the 06 bike, but if it was an issue then Module would take it back surely?
