Using a printer from any computer on a home network

This may be a simple questions, and some of you may say "how can someone not know how to do that", but I never claimed to be anything other than 'an IT dummy'!

I have a home network with 3 computers connected to a router (ADSL internet connection, but I don't think that makes a difference). On one computer I have a HP FotoSmart Printer connected via USB. Up to now, I have been transfering files between computers on a USB memory stick to print (I know ) but I believe that I should be able to allow printing from any computer .

If any of you IT gods can give me a simple (step-by-step?) guide you'd rate as super gods in my book

make sure all PC have the printer drivers installed, select printer on PC which it's connected to go to option share device.

that's about it I know it sounds too easy.

WIll think about it in more details to make sure but that's all I did.

Oh PC with printer attached has to be on for printing to work
