Utag...group buy

I don't think this thread is the place to discuss the merits or drawbacks of the U-tag, as Mort's a good bloke and it kinda pisses on his well intentioned thread, but there is a pretty good thread HERE where the general (and well informed in some cases) consensus seemed to be that the medical services wouldn't action anything on a utag even if they could access it......

I'd suggest that discussion on the uses are kept to that thread so Mort can collect names of interested parties on this one, but it may be useful to read the other thread as well and (as Mort just said) if they are becoming more accepted and useful, I hope they go well for Mort:thumb2

Sorry...

After reading the various replies and the associated responses, I have decided to get a Medical ID Alert Bracelet - still have all the information on but just different to the Utag.
Sorry Mort could you remove me from the list.

Sorry Fanum. No crticism inteneded, especially of Mort. I hadn't come across the other thread anywhere.

I've no doubt about the product or Mort, just whether the NHS were actually using it yet. I'm in a position to influence acute trusts from time to time so could help.

:blast

its not influence thats required, its the fact that nearly EVERY NHS computer in EVERY hospital WONT accept it.

Just about to close this so if there's any more please put your name down before tomorrow night.

As we have now "bought into" Utag we can now buy them in smaller quantities so I can keep the offer going.
The only issue is the postage to here so I will still need to buy them in numbers to be able to keep the price as it is.

So if you want one please put your name down and I'll confirm with you before I place the order:thumb2

Having bought two of the UTags, how is information stored on it?

Does it have a word template file were you fill in the required medical info! Can you add jpg files of xrays & an ECG, or is it just a glorified USB flash drive?

Won't see mine until home in 2 weeks.

Just plug into your computer and a form appears for you to fill in and personalise, with the adding of a password to suit.

You can then store it on the utag and update or amend whenever.

Simples!

Dunno about x-rays and ECGs but there is space for a photo

You can store infomation on there in a secure file including Licence, insurance etc.
But as you are still away I just sent blanks out to you which don't work;):D
