V1000 G5

Anyone owned a 1970’s G5? Or a Convert?
I’m developing an itch for one and thought I’d seek help???
Any thoughts good or bad?

I quite fancy a G5 but not many around. There's one on ebay for a while but 4 grand for a project. Has no brake calipers and a strange steering damper set up. Can't see it selling at that price.

Yeah. I had a look at that one. Seems to have sidecar fittings, hence that huge damper. No LH side panel either. As you say maybe worth half the asking price?

Well it didn’t sell at that price. He took a lot less for it and it’s now resting in my garage after its long long sleep and being brought back to life.
Started life as an Air Defence vehicle in Little Rock Arkansas and went on to be a Georgia police bike.
It’s been resting for at least 20 years maybe more.
You should see the oils.
