Tim - question - I just bought a used bike and only have the V5 new keepers receipt until I get the full document from the DVLA. However, this can take a month (or more) to actually arrive, and I am wondering if you know if the new keeper part will be enough to get into Morocco?

That will depend on the customs official or police officer in charge at the time. The probable answer is yes but the variable is what it will cost, cost (read Bribe!) will also depend on which port of entry you intend to use, Tangir Med will be easiest/cheapest.
I have taken vehicles registered in other peoples name before with no problems and other times it has taken hours to get the "costs" down to a sensible price! Another time we took a Mercedes van all the way to Gambia using an out of date road tax reminder as the log book with no problems at all (we thought we had lost the log book, it was in the glove box all along:blast ).
Take the new keeper bit and, if you have one, the recipt for the sale (type your own if not). The more pieces of paper you have with both your details and the bike details on the less problems you should have.
Basicly you won't know until you try but I would certainly go myself and I think it very very unlikely you'll get turned back.

.

I still laugh about that :D

Good to hear your actual experience there MrIfan. I got through all of South/Central America at times with totally bullshit papers (by US/European standards) more than a few times and was hoping Africa was going to be similarly "flexible".
