Bracing myself for a chastising for cross posting

Anyone with a Euro V V85TT looking for a mistral V-Twin boost, I’ve got one in the for sale section as my V85 is now running Mistral big bore headers, and a few other mods I switched to an UpMap.

Ooh ooh, not the boost thing but the Upmap.

I’ve currently got the full mistral exhaust setup plus V twin boost but reckon things could be better with the Upmap. Interested in your experience of it.

Mine’s an E4 by the way and runs mostly fine as it currently is, just a bit flat around 3,000rpm which perversely is where the revs want to be most of the time.

On my E5 it’s now spot on, no flat spots anywhere, just a linear shove from just off tickover through to upper ranges.

I’m keeping an eye on the fuel economy but nothing really noticeable in a negative way to report back on.

I do need to get it on a dyno at some point just o make sure everything is as it should be, but it is noticeably better “everywhere”, with no dips or troughs.

I’m running Mistral headers, decat y piece, intake trumpet, slightly modded airbox but running the stock can (for now, but will go for a Mistral to finish it off )

The UpMap is running the G-corse European Zard full system with decat map.

Only criticism of the UpMap is the fact you can’t use it on another bike, which is a bummer as it’s a fair chunk of cash. Especially with an extra £83 of import duty / vat / clearance fees added.

Thanks. I knew I should have gone via Mandello on my recent European trip. There’s always another time if I don’t buy one first.

I was giving the intake trumpet thing done serious thought, I even wrote to mistral about it but decided not to bother in favour of the Upmap but haven’t done anything about it yet.

I haven’t ridden an E5 bike yet but based on riding a V7 850 the E5 TT should have a lot more bottom end than my E4, especially with the mods you’ve done. My E4 dies go well above 4500rpm though.

I have a Mistral carbon end can. It sounds great but on a long day it gets a bit tiresome. If you want the sound go for it, but if I was starting again I would do what you’ve done and stick there.

I’m only in Warrington, if you wanted to try my e5 and see what you think.

Thanks. I never like riding someone else’s bike so I’ll pass. I had a close call on a loaner once and it had seemed like fate is trying to catch me up. But a dealers bike or one that I’m trying to buy is no problem.

Thanks again.
