Thanks . That was my next idea to seal the tube .Rubber vac caps fit
But can pop off in a backfire
Short bit of window washer hose cable tied at the port and bent over and cable tied at the other small M2 maybe M3 I think is a better optionThanks . That was my next idea to seal the tube .![]()
Thanks . I’ve ordered the blanking screws so hopefully that will sort it . I guess I will need to set up the carbs now as when I blocked the tubes with my finger the engine ran roughShort bit of window washer hose cable tied at the port and bent over and cable tied at the other small M2 maybe M3 I think is a better option
The previous owner has yes .You have been running the bike with these ports open?
Don't make the mistake that everyone does in thinking that letting it sitting an idol is enough. You need to take it out for 20 minutes for a run and get it up to working temp and then try and set it upThanks . I’ve ordered the blanking screws so hopefully that will sort it . The old guys who taught me taught me to put a a spare plug on one side
2mm Of free play in the throttle cables at the carburettor and make sure that your the choke is completely off on both sides
Set the mixture screws to what should be a standard setting
Turn the idle screws in a couple of turns (Raise idle) and start it up and adjust the side it's running on just so that it just cuts out when you back out the idols crew slowly
Turn the screw back in an eighth turn after it has stopped
And move to the other side and do the same there
When you finish you should have an idle of about 800 or 850
If you want to have a play with the mixture screws, just do it in small increments
Will do . Thanks againNo, it will be fine. It's minute hole. The chances of sucking up a piece of metal or a bit of grit is absolutely minuscule
Set them to the default mixture, screw settings and set it up the way I explained yesterday, but the only thing I will recommend is definitely checking the float height before you do any riding
Im just watching a video on how to do that as we speak . ThanksAnd to be squeaky clean, set your valve clearances before touching the carbs.
