'Box'RMag' published in France every other month has plenty of machines for sale - mostly dealers, but some private. There are 15 1200GS's on offer in the latest issue. A low mileage 2004 model is about 11,500 euros (private) and you can add a 1000 to that for a dealer. The 'Argus' price (in Moto Journal) is 10100 euros for a basic 2004 model, assuming between 6 to 12,000 kms per year.If I were to sell mine - two years old, 10,000kms on the clock I would expect about 1150euros with the panniers, tank case, ABS etc.(But I am not selling yet!) I suspect that the prices here are a little lower than the UK as it is a 'tall' bike and the average Frenchman is somewhat shorther than the Brits or Germans. Few of my friends would even dare to test ride one!;(New price for basic model here is 12,720 euros.)

Allroad, forgive me for asking but why would you want to trade an 05 GS12 with only a couple of thousand miles on it? For an ADV? Hard to justify for the few miles you put on a bike? Just my thoughts
