Hi Guys, I am going to attempt, for the first time to adjust the valves on my 2003 Single Spark 1150 GS. I also want to check the Cam End Float, got the appropriate Feeler from Codcutter of this Parish. Question is should one clearance be set first, IE, Valves
Then Cam or Cam then Valves ??

Many thanks for any advice.... :nenau

Hi Alan,
End float first, as this can affect valve clearances if you do it afterwards. :thumby:

Best of luck, and take your time

Neil

It's the Rocker end float you need to measure/check not the cam.

Many thanks for your guidance guys, now one last DUMB ASS question, is the Rocker end float only adjusted on the LEFT HAND side. All the threads I've look at only show the feeler gauage checking the gap on the left, looking at the cylinder head. :blast

It's measured on the flat surface both sides. It is to take out the up and down float in the rockers. So that they don't float about on the valves.

When you start to do it, it will all become clear to you.
