Valve adjustment

I want to do the valve adjustment on my R1200GS.
Ive seen the Jim von baden article on the ADV site and the "oilhead for dummies" article. They do seem different techniques

Given im super dummy I just want to know if in essence the 1200 is essentialy the same as the 1100 and 1150

I havent done it before so any guidance or experience with the 1200gs would be appreciated

Hi.. just read your post. Not much action in this forum ! I'm surprised no one replied to your question since valve adj. is sooooo imp. on the GS.

Jim's post is really good along with some need pictures.

I think it's time you opened up the cylinder head and just poke around using the info. that is available.

That's what I did and now am pretty good at adj. valves....i'd come over and help you however your just a wee bit far as I am in Montreal.

Try and find TDC and the rest is quite easy.
