Desided to check and ajust the valves of my bike, but didn't find any tehnical information about this. Does any body knows what should be the valve clearance of HP2 enduro and how often need to be checked?

The 1100, 1150 and 1200 all have the same clearances from memory

0.05 mm = Rocker End Float Minimum Clearance

0.15mm on the intake

0.30mm on the exhuast

Easy enough to do every 6k miles depending on how much noise you get from the jugs, most of the time they only need small adjustments every other time i.e. 12k miles. Does not hurt to check either way.

Normally yes although I read somewhere yesterday besides burning your hands on the hot engine parts the difference in doing it hot or cold is not worth worrying about :nenau

I have always done it with the motor stone cold and then do the throttle body synch afterwards with the motor heated up on a 5-10 mile ride. My guess is if you take it to BMW the mechanic will check/set the valves regardless of engine temperature and probably not bother with a test ride to synch the throttle bodies as they work on the clock ;)

I think that the valve clearance depends on engine temperature. It changes the lenght of the valves respectively the clearance. Therefore the clearance of the exhaust valve that works on higher temperature is always bigger than that of the intake valve. What do you thik about it?

Yes indeed there are heat expansion involved so the clearances could be different when hot or cold. The question is how much and all manufaturers must of worked out this in the past to get the best average clearance. I prefer doing my valves when cold although would not hesitate to do it with a hot motor if the situation ever calls for it.
