Allihies again.. but off to Asia soon....
For someone who is used to doing it how long should it take to adjust the valves and then sort out the twinmax bit. Oh and by the way how much does the twinmax thingy ma jig cost?

Answers on a postcard please. When I was younger than I am today I used to do the valves on my CX500. Srew and nut job. No problem. Is it the same on the GS?

Lastly next time I'm in the UK, London then Yorkshire anyone fancy doing it with me, so I'll know how to do it on my own.

I know, I am a sad bar steward, but I won't someone to hold my hand....

Twin Max

Twin-max £52.50 delivered with battery from JH Motorcycles. Apparently hes a good mate of the Frog that designs and manufactures them. MK3 is the latest model.

Boring alert - Froggy owns one of Frances biggest electronics companies. Originally developed Twin max to help tune his collection of vintage Brit bikes. - End of alert

They are now £59.95 according to their web-site. I understand that you can get them fitted with a power lead & plug to fit the accessory socket.

I'm no techno super mechanic but the first time I did my valves with great results took about 20 minutes to disassemble the crash bars and other bits that were in the way then about 20 minutes per side so reckon on about an hour to and hour and a half because you will be double and treble checking first time round. I have ventured onto the throttle bodies .....yet :D

My personal record so far is exactly one hour, which included adjusting three valves and disassembly and reassembly of all associated parts. My first fumbling attempt two years ago took me nearly 2.5 hours.

With the TwinMax, you should be able to do a throttle body sync. in about 15 minutes - probably less if you're an experienced user.
