Okay lads I have a cunning plan....
I'm getting another van (LT35 or Transit Jumbo) that could take 3/4 bikes, the plan is to get one of the cheaper ferry crossings or the chunnel then drive to the coast directly NN/W of Oslo. Splitting the crossing costs keeps it cheap and making biodiesel I'd take about 400 litres and run 80/20 blend with pump diesel, this also gives us a support vehicle if things go wrong.
Time looks like being about 24 hours of driving spread across 3 drivers so should be about 2 days to get there for a cost of about £100 per person, this looks better than getting the 2 day ferry as freight from 'op north' in the UK.
Anyone driven/rode to Norway not using the ferries up there?
Plan is for mid June 2012, with a 'shake down' to Scotland in September.
Plausible or bollocks?
