Vario and metal panniers locks

As part of my ongoing swap from bike being a R1200GS to a GSA next up is to change from vario panniers to the adventure metal type.

With this, is it possible to swap my existing vario locks coded to bike key to that of possible new metal bmw panniers or are they different barrels?

Different Barrels but the same wafers.
It is very easy to recode the barrels , plenty of info on here & you tube.
