Vario Boxes 1200, anyone adapted them?

I'm thinking of how I can fit luggage and the TT canister holders to my Vario boxes, but as the sliding mechanism puts a stop to running bolts into the box itself I wondered if anyone's got any ideas?

And no, I can't. The missus would kill me if I bought more boxes.

Yes, use large self tappers. I have and had no problems.
