Vario Lock Repair

Okay, so I have a Vario topcase that the locking lever locking it to the bike is fubar. Trying to take apart the mechanism so I can see if there is something broken or just not lined up. I know there is a repair kit, and I need to know what to order, if it gets that far. Anyone have advice on how to get the inside cover off of the levers or better yet, a diagram of the thing?

With a little bit of calculated risk, I was able to get the silly thing apart and it was just put together wrong, was a used case. Bet the old owner repaired the case after a break in and put the thing together wrong, that is why I got it so cheap, oh well, his loss my gain.

You can often pick things up very cheaply that are 'Broken' and with a little thought can be fixed to as-new condition. I once got a 'broken' multimeter for about 10% of the new price, a spot of solder on the battery wire connection and it was fixed - still using it many years later.
I love the technically challenged, they sell stuff cheap.....
