Vario panniers on Touratech Pannier racks ??

Has anyone mounted the BMW VARIO Side panniers onto the Touratech Pannier racks ?.

I´m interested in the Touratech racks for the added protection it gives. My bike came with the BMW Vario Panniers and I was hoping to be able to make some way of mounting them on the touratech racks to get some use of them.

The Adventure side case frames are tough and can be low cost on eBay. Sell the Varios to recover some of the costs and use Adventure cases or something more solid.

Alternatively have some frames made specially. There is enough space on the exhaust side to fit a narrow silencer/muffler AND a full size case. It is only BMW styling the bike with a fat silencer that forced the afterthought cut away in the left-hand side case.

The right-hand case frame clears the tyre by 120mm. The LHS has an additional 67mm with the cut away giving much wasted space. There is ample space for a 100mm wide silencer on the LHS behind a plain side case frame.

Thanks for the suggestion. I live in Iceland and I think it would be to expensive ( the shipping cost ) to ship my Vario panniers out and I'm not sure there would be a marked for them here in Iceland. Gonna look into the options. Maybe I could buy a touratec fasteners and screw them on the backside of the panniers to mount them on the touratec rack.

The standard GSA and Touratech cases have a flat mounting face. The vario cases are shaped so it's probably not possible.
