Vario screen and tobinators

I am trying to fit an vario screen to an 1150 gs with tobinators i have put the original covers off the old screen on to the vario screen but what i need to know is does the tobinator just bolt to the serated part at the back of the screen or is there a spacer

'IF' I remember, tomorrow I'll check mine out, don't think there is any spacer, to bloody cold to go to the garage rite now! Brrrrrrrrr, regards Dusan
