Vario topbox on an 1150GSA?

Does anyone know if it is possible, or if anyone has invented an adaptor plate, to fit a BMW Vario top box to an 1150GSA?

I think it's very unlikely that it would be possible to fit the panniers but the top box looks like it could be done.

I would think if you removed the hand bar on the 1150 and mounted the Vario plate it would fit.
