Vario Topcase upgraded

The other day I was taking out some things from the topcase and suddenly the lead closed and almost breaks my wife's little finger. I started to look how I could avoid this and this is what I came up with, no more worries about this:

The yellow stuff is called foamy, I just thought it makes it easier to find things in the dark.. I am looking for a flat LED lamp to place it under the lead but have not found one yet, of course, one that uses small batteries.
