Just went out to put the bike away and the VDU display is lit up but no temperature or fuel gauge reading? Any ideas?

its cold and your almost out of fuel? :aidan

If its on its sidestand itll show several fuel bars less than if its on its centrestand which might be enough for it to read zero

Mine did just the same when the battery started gettin dodgy, all was resumed when I got a new Odyssey one fitted, but hey, what do I know, it could be something else :nenau

i just went out and tried loads of different things to replicate yours but couldnt get it too.

do you use it regular? 1000 miles is a couple of years in some peoples books.

I use it every day. It was ok on the way home from work. Now it aint! Cheers for having a look for me though. The gear position has gone out too...

my gpi is all to cock at the minute at the mo too. I keep meaning to get under there and rip the sensor out for a good clean but just havent been arsed to be honest.

Mine thinks im always in 5th. bloody thing

and my oil temp goes...1..2... zilch... eh?:blast

Yeah, my gear position on blink too. It never shows the right gear but it usually shows something. Bike's starting with no problems, just cant figure what it can be. Its like its all on a fuse but cant be.

Do you have HID Ballasts under the instrument cover? These occasionally cause the display to go haywire. If so, move them to under the beak.

Ok, guys. Thanks for the help. Its still all blank, Ive wiggled the fuse, the wires, everything.... I'll have a look at those ballast thingy's when I get a chance.

VDU is now working again. I removed it from the bike to check the wiring. That was ok. By accident I squeezed it and....it all came back on...not gone off since.
