That advrider thread is good!

I had to do this recently (the dealers hadn't coded the locks correctly when I bought a new case. They had missed a spring out so an incorrect plate worked coincidentally, and also missed th epsring form the end plate.

Just be very careful when withdrawing the key from the barrel when it's removed from the case. The plates can ping out at an alarming speed! Make sure you don't lose the springs - they're tiny and once on the carpet they're impossible to find again. Top tip: use a needle to get the springs out ans store them on the needle while you're fiddling.

You might need to get hold of new plates if swapping the order of the existing plates won't work. When I did mine, I had to forego one of the plates to get it to work. I'll get a new one when I'm next at the dealers.

Finally, you MUST make sure the end plate - which isn't activated by the key - has the spring correctly positioned so it holds the barrel in place in the case. Without this, the barrel can work its way out.

Good luck!
