Very sexy stainless lower engine cover

Mark, have you got any 1150 crudcatchers in stock, so I could get one delivered in time for Ripley?

Should be possible

I am travelling back from Spain this weekend so even if I do not have stock there is a good chance that I will be able to make one for you and bring it with me on Saturday - I`ll bring my torque wrench so if you wish I`ll also fit it for you though it is dead easy to fit anyway :comfort

As long as work isn`t mad next week it should be possible and I`ll possibly have to put in a couple of evenings anyway to catch up on other stuff.

The crud is £40 if I am not going to post it plus a nice bottle of red wine which I can drink whilst fitting it for you...........:D

I`ll be off the forum for a while now but I`ll pick up any reply when I get back to the UK

:beerjug:

I didn't want to burden you with bling to bring, but I'll be more than happy to sort it next weekend.

Hi Mark,i`ve read through this thread and checked out your web page and I cant find a crud catcher for a F800gs :nenau
Can you make them for the baby gs`ers?

1150 & F800

Guys, regarding the adjustable rack for the 1150 I honestly don`t know :nenau

I would need a donor rack to design, test and evolve one to fit, thats the problem! If you want to send me your rack, say over winter, I can make one to suit but that is up to you.

Sadly the same thing applies to the F800 as without the donor bikes or parts I just can`t really be sure that the stuff I will make will fit. I`ve tried and, oh baby, has that bit me in the arse :blast

I can suggest that if you can send me very accurate drawings of what you think you need and if it looks straightforward I will have a go :thumb

Cheers Mark - I reckon I could make a 1200 fit as it is , but could the lettering be changed to 1150 instead of 1200?

Steve

Yep, I could do that.

Yep, I could change the lettering for you no probs (no extra charge apart from the habitual bottle of red wine :D).

I would be concerned about you having to `butcher` it to make it fit as at the end of the day I have a modest reputation for good stuff and although I am sure you would be happy I would be concerned about what other people would think. If it would fit quite easily then thats fine!

I am happy to spend some time on this, can you email me some images of your rack to [email protected] and I`ll take a look...................

regards,

mark.

Got `em!

Sorry mate, won`t be anywhere near - the GS rack is totally different and the machined `rack interface` parts required will simply not fit your rack

After considering some sort of `backing bracket` I don`t think that would be a quick option either as the rack needs to locate or anchor solidly whilst still being able to be adjustable with the adjusting fasteners being solidly fastened.

The best thing I could offer would be to make one around your rack - this would need your rack (over winter?), some time and some red wine (my preferred currency to charging good people for R&D). It would also require some drilling to the current rack itself..................

Please do not buy one hoping to make it fit!

Sorry, but I hope I have been of some help to a) avoiding you wasting your money and b) offering you some sort of option for thought.

Damn! I'll see if I can find a second hand rack to send you - its my main bike and gets used all year round so I don't want to take mine off .
