I am very tempted to try and source a HP2,
What things should I be looking out for with this model?
Thanks

I'm assuming you mean the Enduro...
If so, the thing that is most likely to fail are the forks - the coating goes on the legs, leading to the seals failing. To check them, you need to get the front end of the ground and look for any play in the legs. While you're there - this is a good time to check the headstock bearings too.
Being a 12 based bike, the final drive can also be prone to failure so check that for play.
It's a big bike, with a powerful engine so if it's got lots of miles and has been used a lot off road, then the clutch could be worn too...
But the HP is a tremendous and addictive bike - if you love it like so many others do, you find the money to take of these things
Out of interest, what kind of thing are you looking to use the HP for?
Correct its the enduro I am after.
A bit of everything really from going to work when the mood takes me to normal rides out and some off road work aswell.
Just really like the look of the bike and understand it may not be the most pratical of machines but I think it will be a lot of fun...
Cool!
In terms of use, that is exactly what I bought mine for and had a great time! Commuted, toured 2 up and did my best to abuse it off-road as much as possible!
Have you still got yours? Any issues?

Tempted eh? I'm still tempted by it after over 4 years of ownership
I'm on my fourth or fifth set of forks - they develop wear as stated, but I've never had problems with the seals.
I've had new bearings in my rear drive, and it has had a few leaky seals (cured since using newly recommended fill of 180ml).
So just the usual problems so far.
